[Material] Gradient color as specular

Hi,

I’m working on goggle and there is this effect on the lens that specular colors are not consistant.
I’m trying to work with the gradient texture but closer I can be is with the view orientation and some labels with masks.
As it is for an animation. I’m trying to get close to reality and I would like to acheive this kind of multi colored reflection.
Multi-layered optics seems to be tricky to handle but if that could be the solution I’ll go deeper in the direction.

Any tips or idea on how to build this material?

Just as an idea not a fix:
create a nice gradient in photoshop
Apply it to your lens as mapping type: Camera

I cant figure out in my head if it will make it look really good or really bad on an animation…

It would be helpful to share what your current results look like and what you wish to change about them.
